Bansky has the best tweets!

I am adding Art to The Dirty Dish topics. I do have interests beyond Kim Kardashian's derriere. I recently started following the graffiti king, Bansky, on twitter. His handle is @therealbanksy.

We'll never know if it's really him but he tweets some beautiful and meaningful images. Check these out, I dare you not to feel inspired! Tell me, which one is your favorite and why?

My favorite is definitely the first one. I have trouble getting out of my comfort zone but I when I get up the courage I dive in head first. Also the blue wall is a beautiful contrast to those black and white textures. I love how the whole image translates to liquid.

Tata for now,
Sasha

Holiday Movie Series: When Harry Met Sally

Pre Watch:

To all millennials who haven't seen this movie. What are you doing? What What What are you doing? Look at your life. Look at your choices. You can't go through life without experiencing the enigmatic charm of Billy crystal and Meg Ryan, and I don't care if you don't know who they are!

If you have seen it then you know it's a holiday classic that's worth watching over and over. It doesn't only take place in the winter season, but New Year's eve holds some of the best scenes. When Harry Met Sally is a neurotic dialog about the truth of love and relationships in the form of a wonderfully written rom-com. Can a woman and a man be friends without the mushy love stuff getting in the way? Can we ignore our jealousies and be truly happy when a man in our life meets his dream girl...even if it isn't us? And most importantly is every food topping better when it's on the side?

This film also portrays these issues as well the height of fashion between the late 80's and early 90's. It will make you love shoulder pads I swear! The story is set in NYC where moaning loudly in a Deli is completely acceptable. Okay, I'm revved up for this now! Excuse while I grab some Ben & Jerry's and watch "When Harry met Sally".

Post Watch:

Favorite Quotes:

"It is so nice when you can sit with someone and not have to talk." - Harry Burns

Harry Burns: "With whom did you have this great sex?"

Sally Albright: "I'm not going to tell you that."

Harry Burns: "Fine, don't tell me."

Sally Albright: "Shel Gordon."

Harry Burns: "Shel? Sheldon? No, no, you did not have great sex with Sheldon."

Sally Albright: "I did too."

Harry Burns: "No you don't. A Sheldon can do your income taxes if you need a root canal, Sheldon's your man...but humpin' and pumpin' is not Sheldon's strong suit. It's the name. ' Do it to me Sheldon, you're an animal Sheldon, ride me big Shel-don.' Doesn't work."

"I came here tonight because when you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible." - Harry Burns

Most Epic Moment:

I'm a sucker for Fall, eighties' clothing, and new friendships.

Final Feelings:

Nora Ephron and Rob Reiner have created a timeless masterpiece that not only shows the unfolding of a romance, but it also marks the importance of friendship. There are a lot of things we don't need in life, but good friends are necessary.

Celebrities who overdid it in 2014: I Salute you.

Happy Monday!

I love the celebs yo. They are fascinating, glamorous and some of them are the greatest artists of our time but occasionally....they over do it. Guess what? We love them anyway.

Here are a few celebrities who overdid it recently:

Leo DiCaprio at Art Basel:

So you're having girlfriend troubles? No big. Just hit up one of the biggest art shows in the world and leave with 20 runway walkers in tow. Leo is an expert on moving on. I am not even disgusted; I'm just impressed. Apparently he is king of the world.

Kate & William and Beyonce & Jay- Z

At this Basketball game, the most powerful players in the room were not wearing jerseys. The Brooklyn nets game had not one, but four HUGE celebs, including three royals ( If you include Queen Bey). Could there be any more power couples?? If they bottled their stardom into a sports drink, maybe the Nets could improve their stats. I think just the fact that these people were near each other is overdoing it. Too much famous, I can't handle it. Neither could that guy in a suit...and Kate I know. I had that same face during an entire Beyonce concert.

Kim Kardashian

I don't know when she's not overdoing it, but her attempt to break the internet belongs in this post. DAT ASS. Is it even real? How do you get that size? Is it squats? Is it an injection of unicorn tears? TELL ME YOUR SECRETS. Ok, I've calmed down.

I love you crazy celebrities,
Sasha

What are we Netflixen right Now?

What am I Netflixen this week? Oh baby there's a WHOLE lot to watch.

Coven.

The current season of American Horror Story had me itching for Season 3. Coven is now available with a Netflix subscription and a few clicks.

What did I forget?

How utterly and fabulously evil is Emma Roberts and her witchy wardrobe?

I mean looook at these outfits...

I also forgot about Kathy Bates and her chamber of horrors. Although now that I remembered I wouldn't mind forgetting again...thanks for putting me off my dinner Mr.Murphy. I think the best scene is when she frightens one of her daughter's suitors by placing his hand inside a bowl of human organs.

You put the C in class Madame!

The one I love

What freaked me out?

This entire movie freaked me out. Peggy from "Mad Men" and the Hollistic Doctor from "The Mindy Project" came together for a very strange tale. If I'm ever in marriage counseling I will slap the doc who tells me to go on a relaxing retreat with my hubby. They go on a trip of pure madness that makes noooo sense. A little spoiler, they find their doppelgangers in a wooded paradise and the look a likes do not have good intentions.

Fun Fact: Akiko Stehrenberger designed this poster look at this amazing work: http://bit.ly/12o08Pb

Women Who Kill...

These women induce spleen splitting laughter! Amy Schumer, Rachel Feinstein, Marina Franklin, and Nikki Glaser had me cackling. Alone at my desk. Loudly. They are so not afraid to go there. They are sexually bold, politically incorrect and you will LOL through every second of it. Netflix is flooded with the kings of comedy. Don't get me wrong I love me some Louie C.K but these women are marching their way to the throne. Watch these comedy queens get reaaaallly inappropriate:

Why am I still laughing? Cuz this...

I love you Netflix,

Sasha

Holiday Movie Series: Bridget Jones's Diary

Pre Watch:

It is officially the season to get peppermint mochas, to overwear your knitwear and to watch the holiday movies you love. For me, I have to wait for just the right amount of time to watch these films. I don't like to rush it. If I watch "Love Actually" too early then forgive me Father, for I have sinned! I've decided to watch "Bridget Jones's Diary" first. This movie makes me think of a drunk thirty year old heroine who sings "All By Myself" in Holiday pjs. I think all of us ladies can relate a little. It's hard to be alone during the holidays.

I always find this movie hopeful. Every woman, no matter how much vodka she consumes between Christmas and New Year's Eve can find the love of her life. Can't she? Ok, I'm going to get watching and then I'll move on to the post watch. I'm SO excited. I rented this on Youtube for $2.99. A great deal if I do say so myself! BRB I've got to go watch Renee Zellweger get into some embarrassingly dark experiences on her journey to true love. What's your favorite Bridget debacle? Tell me in the comments!

Post Watch:
My Favorite Quotes:

"You have no messages." - Bridget's answering machine

"I thought it might be a charitable thing to take your skirt out for dinner and try to fatten it up a bit." -Daniel

"I like you very much...just the way you are." -Mark

Most Epic Moment:

Bridget finally gets the romance she deserves, a small price to pay for frost bite on the arse.

Final feelings:

Great film. It's everything a romantic comedy should be. This story set the bar for romcoms in the 2000s, and I have to say there are very few others that rival its greatness. I only wish the sequel hadn't happened, but we can't have everything we want! Tune in soon for the next movie in this series "When Harry Met Sally".
