Was it the catchy melody? The adorable music video? The Z100 Top 40 brainwashing? Nope. I love "All About that Bass" for what it says. While I of course adore the big booty tunes from Nikki Minaj and J.LO, they are missing something for me. I know these butt blasting songs supposed to be fun and pop culture centric but I'm sorry fan girls.....they are repetitive. I get it, the girls love the ass, the boys love the ass, and Drake clearly LOVES the ass. So what? That doesn't mean anything. Meghan seems to be able put out a hit song and send out a positive message simultaneously. Think what you want but little girls are listening to these songs just as much as us women in our twenties. I would love my future daughter to hear that it's ok if you're not a size two, and I want her to hear that "every inch of you is perfect from the bottom to the top". I want her to enjoy Ariana Grande as much as I do, but I don't want her to think she has to look like her to be a star.
